It's clearly a lot of poke, but you can't argue with Bent's goalscoring record over the years. The fella does **** all other than score goals, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Has scored in more PL games than Rooney or Drogba

Has the second best shot conversion rate in the PL during the last 6 seasons (fractionally behind FT and 53% better than Rooney)

Has a 51.55 rating for shooting accuracy (again way better than the likes of Drogba, Rooney etc)

I don't think anyone is doubting he is a good goal scorer, but Rooney to be honest has only had one good scoring season and that was last season and both he and Drogba offer so much more to a team than Bent ever will.
