    Roberto Mancini

What does everyone think of him, manager wise and personality wise?

He's received alot of unfair criticism since he's been at City imo.

    Unfair?

He should be walking this league with that squad and money spent. Mourinho would be no fewer then 16 points clear by now.

Plus they play very dour football. Basically set up for a point against any remotely decent side.

He’s just too negative to go all the way. I know the same criticism was leveled at Rafa, but at least Rafa had us controlling games. That game against us last year was the worst 90 minutes of my life, no team wanting to score, then they did the same against Arsenal and United weeks later.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Very good manager. A very important point is that he isn't the one that build the squad. He is only coaching it. That makes his job a bit tougher.

Suddenly they can buy a £25m player and he must more or less play him even if he doesn't suit the system.

Actually agree with Arn, bizarrely. Mancini's a class manager and still young in management terms.

Think that's a bit harsh tbh.

I think Mancini's focusing on getting the City defence sorted first and foremost which is fair enough...you dont have success unless you've a solid base to start from. I know they've conceded 5 in the last 2 games but in the league this season they're level with United on least goals conceded...so they must be doing right in that department.
                          They've also scored 37 goals...not too shabby.

Yes you can he's had an unlimited amount of money to spend, and that can be overlooked but at the same time he's got his team going well and pulling in the right direction. Fair enough there's been one or two bust ups within the squad but i'm surprised there's not one every other day with the amount of egotistical players at the Club.

He's doing a grand job imo, gets way too much stick from the press.

Does he really get that much stick from the press though? Only time I've ever heard them give any stick was on the occasions where he put 11 men behind the ball and played for a point. Trust me that is no exaggeration either.

I personally wouldn't be fond on his team selection and subs either if I was a city fan. Adam Johnson in great form and bang he's on the bench, Tevez on hat-trick off you come etc etc
