He's been poor for the last few games. Really not sure why. When he's on form - he's one of the very best. But his current form is concerning.

With the type of modern full back that Johnson is... your always going to sacrifice some defensive quality when he's usually so good going forward. He's always had defensive lapses but recently he really has looked way off.

Don't think they are lapses per se. I mean, defensively. I think he was culprit of giving the wall away sloppily today. The way our fullbacks play, in the sense that they push high up the pitch, losing the ball in critical positions will allow someone to go behind one of them. That's what happened to Johnson a couple of times in the first half. As you say, it's part and parcel of his game as he is an attacking fullback.

Was only a few games ago people were saying how much we missed him. Give him a chance ffs. 29 is too young to be pensioning off players. They're in their prime at that age.

Doesn't look fully fit to me. But I don't think we have the squad to leave him out. He's an experienced player and best in league on form. I'd look to keep him. Not like there are plenty of quality RB's available.

he then came back and had a good game. he has gone missing in the last two. not counting the times it was obvious he was lost at sea i think he made about four valid contributions all game.

Liability this season... Always inconsistent defensively but this season I'm pretty shocked at his performance level. Performance certainly aren't matching his wages.

His form is muck, that's for sure. Shame because he can be such an asset for us. Hope he picks up to usual high standards second half of the season.
