But I don't think Keys will go without some new incident. Sky will surely be keen to keep him on for a while at least, until the new 'expert' (I use the word loosely, indeed wrongly) has settled in. They won't want a brand new team to be parachuted in mid-season, without any preparation time.

Still, maybe Keys will feel a little less comfortable about his job prospects for next season, or this time next year.
The best scenario (wont happen, mind) would be if all of Sky's preferred replacements for Gray, refused to work with Keys

Did he ever say it to Keys?

Gray and Keys are massive buddies, I wouldn't be that surprised if Keys walked in support of his mate.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Probably didnt deserve the sack for things he said or did off air, unless someone there at the time complained... and even then.
Purely in terms of analysis, when Gray wasnt being Skysationalistic ('Grand Slam Sunday' etc), when he wasnt being xenophobic, sexist and a cunt, he was alright.

So what i'm saying is that there were a few seconds per broadcast, where he did a decent job.

I hate his fake growl. I hate how he says 'hugely' every minute. I hate how he says "And I mean that". Oh really? I was bothered enough to doubt you.

I hate how he says "I told you" if something transpires which he'd previously said may happen. He never says "**** me I was totally wrong" (as he often is) when things pan out differently to how he predicts.

I hate how he makes snap decisions, particularly with offside calls, and then when proved wrong after a replay goes very quiet.

I hate his embarrassing British attitude. "They don't like it up 'em!", his denigrating of foreign players, his embarrassing cheerleading for the Premier League. I hate that he even wondered how Messi would cope at Stoke .

Basically he's a cunt, but not as big a cunt as Richard Keys.

Add to that his lack of any useful knowledge or insight.

Remember his Rafa-hating/Hodgson-sucking "I really like this Liverpool team" comments before we got ****ted by City? His moaning about zonal marking for years, even when the stats showed it was working? His persistent bitching about Gerrard not being played at CM even when he was playing brilliantly off Torres? His general love for Woy as a 'good manager' (ie one of the boys).

He doesnt have a clue, and is indirectly responsible for a lot of the ****e that gets parroted by some people after games.

I like my commentators to add or challenge my understanding of what's going on. Too treat football fans like intelligent beings not attentionless idiots.

Not describe the bloody obvious. With a lashing of cliche.

Take a bow Ms. Massey. Take a bow.

                Let's hope you're right.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
