Yes I am. Going off what he produced at Sunderland and how he has played for us, I'd say it's crazy how much we paid for him. Look at the price difference between what we paid for him and Suarez - then assess the impact made both players. Look at the price we paid for Enrique and the impact he has made. If a player costs £15-20m at the age of 20, I'd expect him to show a bit of promise - he hasn't. He's got fantastic passing in tight spaces but other than that his crossing is weak, his shooting is worse and he hardly has the ability to beat players.

We have plenty of midfielders who are promising than him. I have said it before - I think Shelvey is a much better player and he cost a fraction of the price. And Jay Spearing is definitely a much player than him and he can tackle too.

I disagree totally about there being no chance. There is a reason why he was playing for the Dutch national team at 18. But I do agree with the whole mentality issue. If he had worked under a coach like Van Gaal, he would either have never made it or become a total star as he would have knocked him into shape as he is a tough ******* of a coach. Ajax fans I believe were laughing at the amount we paid for him and quite a few said he wouldn't make it. All I'm saying is, with the right coaching he could possible have made it.

This kind of summarises Babel - looking and kicking one way, but the ball going the opposite way

Im not having someone write a 20 year old off, after 3 games for us. Give he lad time FFS. He is better than Shelvey, who was ****e most of last season if you recall. Spearing on the other hand is a different player, you cant really compare them. Id also hazard a guess you didn't really watch him much at Sunderland. No one willingly watches them other than there fans.

Also, for what its worth, im not saying your going to be wrong about him. Im just saying dont be too quick to judge.

He's been brought in for the long term future of the club, he'll be in and around the first team for probably a decade or so and he's just started with a new club and finding his feet, the first two league games of the season have been against the club he grew up at and Arsenal neither were going to be easy.

Give him time or at least more than 1 cup game and 2 league games

Liverpool flop Ryan Babel has blamed the Anfield club’s training regime for his poor form in England.

The Dutch forward arrived on Merseyside in 2007 with a growing reputation and a hefty £12m price tag.

But the 24-year-old scored just 12 goals in his four years at Liverpool and was sold to Hoffenheim in January.

The forward has enjoyed a stellar start to his new season in the Bundesliga and puts it down to better training at his new club.

“I think I've had really benefited from the move to the Bundesliga,” he told Dutch paper De Telegraaf.

"We do more preparation work at Hoffenheim than I ever saw in England and we do longer training sessions. I’ve never felt so fit. "

"You need competition to get fit. I often sat on the bench and the schedule in England, with a game every three days, meant the training was only there to maintain us.”

RT @Homa10i: Babel didn't blame #LFC's training regime. He said he's benefited from longer training sessions and more game time. Thats all
