I know this turned out to be nothing in the end, but I was talking to a mate of mine who is an Everton season ticket holder, he reckons the only reason they didn't go into administration is because they got a loan/advance on the money they'll get for final league position. And that come the summer they'll be selling off their best players: (his valuations)

          Fellaini £30m
          Rodwell £20m+
          Jagielka £10m

He also told me that a few years ago they had to sell Goodison and rent it back and that as long as Kenwright stays in charge and they don't have a new ground they'll be totally ****ed.

He also reckons Moyes has had enough (has fallen out with Kenwright) and will be off in the summer.

I don't know how true this is but it sounds like they are in deep trouble.

              Yeah I know

He claims Fellaini is 'one of the best midfielders in Europe' and that he's been a class apart from every other midfielder he's been on the pitch with this season.

Fellaini £30m > NO ONE WILL PAY THIS
Rodwell £20m+ > MAN U WILL PAY THIS
Jagielka £10m > ARSENAL WILL PAY THIS

Fellaini is still a very good player. I would take him here. But not for that kind of money. Although, Moyes will be looking to make a profit and they shelled out close to 20 mil for him didn't they?

I think they paid £15m + add ons.

I think they might get £20m, if a big club comes in for him, and they don't come across as needing the money. He's looked decent when I've seen him (which isn't that much TBH) but I've never thought he was amazing.

I think the Jagielka one is the most realistic, They might get close to that for Rodwell eventually, but to be honest I'm not sure he's as good as people like to make out, he seems to have gone off the boil somewhat recently IMO

If they are going to be available and they really are struggling like that.
We should take both Fellaini and Rodwell but not for those fees.

                        Baines 40m?

Jagielka is worth that if Cahill's valuation is anything to go by. Rodwell realistically £15m - £20m

                          Fellaini

                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
