Even the Arsenal fan I was watching the game with said he should be ****ed off......an incredibly stupid footballer.
Even if you think Barton went in harder then he needed to, only a gob****e reacts like that.
Probably could have sent Nolan off later seeing as how he done that, but we've seen things like that before when a keeper tries to hold onto the ball to prevent the restart with action rarely taken.........besides, Arsenal were rocking long before that.
As for the peno.....first one might be a little soft, but it was a foul in the box (say 50-50)....as for the second one, am I the only one who sees Rosicky pushing ? Incredibly thick thing to do in the box away from home against a team pushing to fight back. Dope.

Yet again, Arsenal show their true colours and there complete lack of discipline which stems from their manager and his inaction. I enjoy a laugh at Newcastle as much as the next Liverpool fan, but I applaud them for the 2nd half performance against a 10 man team. Absolutely blew Arsenal away.
    - Barton should have been sent off
    - Nolan should have been sent off
    - It was never a penalty(the 2nd one)

      Oh dear

Maybe this is why Rudo is so miffed. Arsenal's implosion just cost you a nice pay out there eh

I didn't have an issue with the first pen, soft, but a tug, and possibly a handball a second earlier. The second was complete BS. Rosicky didn't push him at all, just had his arms up as the three players were jumping. Looked like a push from one angle, a bit, but from the others it seemed clear to me that there was no foul.

Anyway, Arsenal have no balls and Newcastle have no CBs. Interesting game.

Wenger - sending off was key. You have to take it matches like than on the chin.

Didn't see the sending off incident by the way. Doesn't have an opinion on the penos, as his view isn't important.

England squad announced tonight for friendly, so Rio Ferdinand gets 'injured in the warmup'.

                Nothing to do with that

I might give this Scum game a miss, i know what's going to happen and i've suffered enough for one day when it comes to the footie.

I don't know mate.......guess the important view was the linesman. Rosicky didn't challenge for the ball at all, but by putting his arms out straight on the Newcastle lad's back, he invited the peno decision especially with the momentum of the game.
We would be screaming for it tomorrow when one of the Chelsea lads does the same, just as we would be miffed about it down the other end. Guess the lesson here is to not give the officials the opportunity.....a lesson the Arsenal lads have never learned.

When you look at the fixtures coming up (ie Sunderland v Spurs next Saturday) while weplay Wigan at home there's no reason why we can't have a ****ing good go at getting past Sunderland and Spurs and into 5th. And can you imagine if we squeezed past a plummeting Chelsea into 4th and into next year's CL? That would piss off an awful lot of people.

By my reckoning, and as i've been saying, if we can win 10 of our remaining 14 (including Chelsea away and Spurs at home), then we could nick 4th.

I'll be staggered if we catch Spurs. If we lose tomorrow they'll be 9 points ahead with a game in hand. Not gonna happen. 6th should be our target and IMO that's where we'll finish.

Anyone think Kelly may get a surprise call up? Would do his confidence a world of good.
