the number of empty seats at St James Park for the Toon v Charlton.
Empty seats and money - the only currency most boards deal in. Roeder is teetering on the brink IMO - with Curbishley ready to step in in January.

It's easy to slag the Geordies off for being fickle and not going the game - but by god these people have had to put up with some dross of late.

The decision to appoint Roder was for want of a better word 'mental'

Good coach n' all but obviously not a top class manager.

Listening to a report on the radio this morning abou thte 8,000 empty seats. Apparently some of that was due to the piss poor traveling support from Charlton however a number of Newcastle fans did stay away from the game.

It would appear that the majority of folks who attend Newcastle home games are season ticket holders so in effect 'the toon' are not really loosing gate money. For this season at least i doubt Fat Freddy will be bothered.

Expect a new manager in January / Early summer and a rash of 'big' name signings just prior to next season's season ticket renewal deadlines.

    Cynical, moi?

I think Roeder needs time. He is doing a good job with a piss poor squad and the board seem to want to dictate transfers to him. With the current board and after a run of poor appointments I think he is a decent choice to steady the ship and needs to be given at least until the end of the season.

There a circus of a club with fans who think there a big club who has won fook all in the history.

Roeder is only a ringmaster in the circus

Roeder strikes me as a decent and genuine guy but no way he is a manager of a prem league club of any stature.
Think he would probably do well at lowere levels where he has to work closer with the players or to return to coaching the kids but thats his level IMO.
