Thanjk you.

Based in this its either both of them off or neither.
Exactly the same intent, both leave the ground, both have studs raised. Only difference is the ref is looking at Evans face and can see his face contort as he begins to scream like a girl, ehilst the Jonj is looking to go after the ball again.
Evans's challenge was more dangerous and reckless. If anyone was to get red it should have been him. But his pretence of being hurt got Shelvey sent off, despite him winning the ball. While the penalty decision was harsh but understandable, this one was a ****ing joke.
Shelvey has had a red coming with his tackles so far this season/pre-season and I suspect the ref was on the look out based on this.

It's the look of contempt on the refs face when he produces the red that gets me.
Just like last week when he sent that other layer off for the nothing challenge. It was picked up on MOTD last week about the look of contempt Halsey had on his face then.
I have normally thought Halsey was a good ref but he has been shocking this season but then again we were playing them so nothing surprises me.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wonder if we can appeal based on this?
****ing disgracefully biased decision.
Evans goes double footed into the challenge, Which Halsey can clearly see. I have no doubt Evans got him sent off, He didnt even touch him.
Evans played the ball with the instep of his right foot; Shelvey caught Evans, studs first, half way up his shin.... If you acknowledge the above to be true you must at least see how the ref could decide its a red, no? Carragher got away with something v. similar on Nani a few years ago - at least Evans didn't start crying ffs.
There were decisions to debate in the game but imo this wasn't one of them.
Shelvey's biggest mistake in that tackle was getting up - if he'd stayed down then neither would've looked more like the guilty party. Because he's not a little pussy - he got up to get on with things while Evans carried on menstruating on the floor like a little bitch.
Shelvey led one-footed with his studs showing. Evans goes in two footed studs showing and actively jumps off the floor. As many have said - that's either two yellows, two reds or **** all. Personally I'd say two yellows and two stern telling offs as neither one was more culpable than the other.
