It's weird, it's like he's forgotten how to strike a ball. If you look at all of his goals from Holland, he's smashing them in from all angles. Granted it is Holland, but still..

I would defo still keep him, but bench him for a while to give him a rest. Prefer him played on the right too

Kuyt is always awesome against Chelsea.

But against weaker teams he shows his limitations. He has a place in the squad, but when (if) we are playing fast pace passing football, he is going to struggle.

The other problem for me is he is useless up front. His lack of pace is one thing, but his shooting is woeful at times, for a £10m striker, and provides no threat when he has the ball at his feet, facing goal. Its a good job we had no other good right sided players or he may have gone down in Anfield history as an expensive failure

He's a terrible footballer, but is quite useful at making a nuisance of himself playing upfront when battling centrebacks, however, he makes an even bigger nuisance of himself when constantly breaking up our moves with poor control and poor passing. Should be binned in the summer.

He also creates a lot of chances for us, and despite some claims, is a very good crosser.

I struggle to think of many of our big games in the last few years when Kuyt hasn't had an impact one way or another - scoring/assisting/playing a part in a goal etc.

Unless we get a silly offer, i'd be disappointed if he was sold in the summer.

See, threads like this is why I go mad at other people. Doesn't really matter to me how good a player Dirk is, he's in a red shirt.

I'm a supporter, therefore I support all the players in red. Whilst Dirk plays for us & gives 100%, I'll love him.

We have quite a few players that are maybe not of the standard required to win the league, but that isn't their fault. It's the fault of whomever bought them.

But whatever their faults, I'll always support them, and always have. Over the last 30 years, I've seen plenty of muck players at the club!

But you are assuming that having a critical opinion about a player equals one not supporting them, which is completely wrong. I support the whole team when they go out playing be it Kuyt, Gerrard, Reina, Poulsen or even PFK when he was still with us. But that is not the same as I can't have a critical opinion about a player in a position where I think we can improve.

The same goes with managers, and I even for most matches managed to support Hodgson on match-days, but I sure as hell was critical about him afterwards. Where I draw the line is the plain idiotic abuse of our players and managers, that plenty of people on here showed towards a certain trio just a few months ago, and it should be beneath people having to do that, and honestly that behaviour made me mad.

We might as well stop all discussion about LFC, the players, the matches if supporting equals not being able to utter a critical opinion about it. Being a supporter means more than just blindly following the heard IMO.

Sorry if it came across as 'you cannot be critical', wasn't meant to be like that. It's more the fact that some people seem to just want to get stuck into our players rather than supporting them, like they watch all 90 mins just waiting for a mistake so they can say 'see, I told you xxxxxx was ****e'. I'm as critical as the next guy, but not to the point where I constantly slate a player. I prefer to look for the positives in a player. That said, there are quite a few players I'd like to see brought in in the summer.

Dirk has been a great player for us, I just think his legs are going and to move forwards we perhaps need a bit more guile and creativity than he offers.

If he goes it would need to be a decent amount of money for him or we keep him simple as that

Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt believes the team's recent success is down to his new role as dressing room DJ with music from the likes of Kings of Leon, Amy Winehouse and The Killers inspiring the team.

lol. I can see it now

                            - "Oh **** fellas, we'd better pull our socks up and win this one or Dirk'll be getting his Franz Ferdinand cd's out".
                            - "****, yeah, lets do it, I HATE Franz Ferdinand....."

It's a tough call between that from Dirk and Phil Collins from Gerrard
