Aye, it was a great week if not a good game. Was there Monday-Friday with the game on the Wednesday. Very eventful. Met Kluivert and a load of Barca players the day before the game, and later in the week got chased around the side streets of Las Ramblas by armed police.Originally posted by RoadEnd View PostYep same one. We had Heskey and Litmanen up front. They had Kluivert and Rivaldo in the team, with Reina and Xavi on the bench. I travelled out with my brother in law with the flight paid for in Sainsbury reward vouchers
. Met an American in a bar the night before the game and he got us tickets from the club.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

People going to their first game, or away game who aren't really big fans. People who support smaller teams as a memento of playing at Anfield. Plastic ******s. Japanese tourists.Originally posted by Lee View PostSplit ****ing scarves?!

The LFC / MUFC and LFC / CFC are just ****ing hideous. What sort of a cunt comes up with an idea to make them? And what sort of a cunt actually spends their well-earned poke on them too?

Dear god please tell me this was photohopped.Originally posted by RoadEnd View Post"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

I don't see the problem with them. I can't understand why people are getting so wound up about it. For many people, including me its a momento to remember the time you went overseas to watch the club you love. If they sold half and halfs for the LFC Spurs game I went to I would have got myself one to remember the game by.
I guess all of us here are superfans and wouldn't consider having another club on a scarf because they are too comitted to LFC.
