    Buying/wearing other teams' shirts

I usually play 5-a-side two or three times a week and one of those sessions is with my Brother and his mates. I've noticed that quite a lot of his mates buy and wear football shirts of other teams than what they actually support - not because they support that team too but because they like the shirt design/colours. What reminded me about this was that one of my bro's mates mentioned how much he likes Marseille's black shirt in their game against United on Wednesday and that he's going to buy one.

few examples of shirts they've been wearing: Barca, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Real Madrid, France, Ajax - when all of them support either United/West Ham/Spurs/Arsenal

Hardly any of my mates do this - I confess the only shirt I've bought other than Liverpool's was Barcelona's home one when I went to Spain in 1999.

Just curious if any of you have bought other teams' shirts or if your mates do?

I bought a Napoli away shirt when I went to Sorento a few years back.

That kind of thing is prefectly acceptable. But to buy another Premier League team's shirt is ****ing insane.
    Oh I don't know.

I did once think about getting a shirt as a souvenier each time I went on holiday, but they are bloody expensive, and I'd rather spend my spending money on having fun.
      Oh I don't know.

Got loads of tops from foreign teams, but would NEVER EVER get any other English team shirt aside from Liverpool.

                I have the

                Spain 2000 euro top
                Spain 2006 world cup top
France 98 world cup top - due to zidane
Roma 2001 top when Totti was a class act
Inter 2002 - with ronaldo on the back
Barca 1999/2000 centenuary Top, when rivaldo was at his peak.

I did mean to buy other tops over the years but never did.

I had a general guideline when i was young. If they are class and adidas make the kits. Otherwise i don't really buy them. Some of the above did not fit into the category. Now that i am older i don't bother

Mate of mine plays for a team and it was his job to pick the teams kit and he chose the Black Chav away kit. I couldn't beleive it and niether could the rest of the team when he turned up to training with it.

                  ****ing prick.

I used to have an Italy shirt with Baggio on the back. Aside from international kits, I wouldn't buy another teams kit personally.

Scumbag player and massively over-rated. The only thing I've seen him doing that was anywhere near good was gobbing on Poulsen

when i was thin, i wanted one of those older tottenham shirts that were tight fitting. i thought they looked sharp, but never bought one.

i would've made it look amazing, btw.
