Spiked by City cos they realised he's not worth £260000 a week. Now they can sack him and tear up his contract.

Re #KoloToure drugs test failure - 'specified substance' means ephedrine etc and various others contained in cold cures etc
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

        Maybe he likes drugs.

BBC News are suggesting a "specified substance" is a WADA term referring to substances that occur naturally in the body. If that's so then Toure's level is abnormally high. There may be a satisfactory explanation for it.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

A plus point for City if he gets banned is that they can terminate his contract and replace him with someone else.

The wage bill won't get higher and they get in a better defender.

To clarify, a "specified substance" isn't necessarily naturally-occurring but is "more susceptible to a credible, non-doping explanation" according to WADA.

In other words it could be an unusually high level of something like testosterone or adrenalin or it could be something found in an otherwise innocent product, like ephedrine in a cold remedy.

Yeah, I sometimes take 20 or 30 when I have a cold too.

He apologized and Fiorentina reinstated him. He played his first game back against Parma in early February and 4 more since then.
