    President banned for Messi swoop

    The president of a French village team has been suspended for submitting a formal request to sign Lionel Messi
    The club is FC Borne and the president made the "fallacious and totally irresponsible" offer on a 'well-oiled' evening
    After two separate disciplinary hearings, Cédric Enjolras has now been suspended for six months. A tad harsh.

          so basically the chairman of a non league side in france got bladdered and faxed a transfer request to Barca
