most classy of things to be doing when you're supposed to be a role model.

This role model **** really pisses me off. In what world has a footballer signed up to be a `role model'? As a general rule they become professional footballers for the love of the game, the fame/glory or the money. None of which strike me as particularly strongly linked to upstanding moral behaviour.

They are only role models if people chose to make them that. Given the wide range of alternatives choosing to hold up footballers as the model to which we should aspire in our private lives seems somewhat naive and best and utterly moronic at worst.

If the public are so concerned at the nature of the influences on the youth of today perhaps they could give up their prurient obsession with having the details of who every famous person is currently nobbing. Perhaps we could even be as enlightened as to allow that women might enjoy sex and leave off with thinly veiled misogynist moralist terms such as 'sluts' to describe the females in such stories.

It was only the selling of the video that meant it wasn't private though, surely? If he sold it himself or did something wrong in making the video I'm not aware, then yeah he might be a cock for that, but otherwise I don't see the grave sin in it. You're entitled to your opinion fella but i have to disagree.

Whether or not they like it, footballer's are role models, it's as simple as that. It doesn't mean they have to live like monks but they have a great of responsibility yeno. they're only human and make mistakes but not getting caught up in scandals like Dyer has in his career is hardly too much to ask.

A footballer having a sex video is tacky and ill advised and the girls they smashed were hardly the love of their lives, few sluts looking to get famous by featuring in a sex tape with footballers....no surprise really.

There's probably about half a dozen other misdemeanors.
