No it isn't, it is not last man, it is about preventing a goal scoring opportunity.

But in fouling him, and being the last man too..is'nt he then denying the player a goal scoring opportunity, even if he's on the half way line he could still theoretically have a shot at goal..if he had'nt been fouled, for me, last man fouling an oppsing player going towards goal is stopping a goal scoring opportunity.

It has to be said the talk a few months ago of us taking two or three years to "get back into contention" regarding the PL title is now looking a little pessimistic. IMO we're nowhere near as far off the other big sides as some, including myself had first thought. I've seen nothing from Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Spurs lately that suggests anything other than a decent go at the title next year and a CL spot for LFC.
