    Kroenke buys Arsenal...........

    Announced tomorrow.

Thats it then, the last of the big clubs in foreign ownership.

Not sure how that will effect them financially. Seem to be pretty well run and pretty minted anyway!

Stan Kroenke set for Arsenal takeover deal
    By David Bond
    BBC sports editor

Stan Kroenke is poised to launch a full takeover for Arsenal after agreeing deals to buy shares owned by Danny Fiszman and Lady Nina Bracewell Smith.

The American businessman already owns 29.9% of the north London club.

BBC Sport understands that he is to acquire the 16.1% owned by Fiszman and the 15.9% owned by Lady Nina for around £11,000 a share, or £225m.

That will give him 62% and control of the Gunners and means he must offer to buy out all the remaining shareholders.

At that price, the club has a market value of around £750m.

With Arsenal carrying debts of £147m, the deals value the club at £900m.
    We come not to play.

      £900m

I suppose with the profits they make, it's probably correct.

They've also got a stonking new stadium and they're a London based club. Bound to add more value to them.

Yeah i suppose, how much would a new stadium cost? £350-£400m? so the London effect is worth so much

Could mean now that wenger finally will spend some of that cash he allegedly has to burn.

Wonder how this'll affect their spending. Could be worrying times for others- or them.
                3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I don't think it will affect their spending. Time will tell. But Arsene Wenger would want to stick to his 'guns' and kids mentality. They will just buy up all the young talents at a higher price then anyone else.

I think it may, his wife is richer than he is, part of the Wallmart family, so if they decide to make Arsenal a family concern, and want them to win trophies, i see them very much encouraging Wenger buy some bigger name players, along with investing in youth as has always been the way.

Probably about the best idea any football club could go with. Seeing the article on Chelsea's 1b spend and the money City are chucking about along with the financial rules coming in I would say easily the best model is to take Arsenal's and magnify it with a ton of feeder/development clubs. Arsenal have the advantage of a new stadium and a youth development process that is probably a decennial old and very well established.
