She knows that. She's very clearly implying he made it all up and she's calling him out on it.

At least it's a change from that nice young couple on LFCTV who wouldn't say boo to a goose.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Refreshing attitude and approach from her I thought.

I wouldn't say boo to a goose either. I said shoooh to a swan yesterday and me and my dog had to run for our lives. Them ****ing things can fairly move.

                He made it up.

Papers are toiling for circulation and journalists will say anything for sales.
I guess that is the point she is trying to make. If he had a source hw would have named them. All the papers do it, as the amount of bull**** you haave to trawl through on the Transfer Rumours section of this site illustrates.

i dont see it the same. i dont think they do name sources like you say.

A journo who names their source will no longer have any sources.

And that is the crux of the issue.

Journalists can print any old ****e they want citing 'sources' knowing that if asked to reveal them they can refuse on the grounds of 'journalistic integrity'

                          integrity indeed.

Thing is, the presenter is probably a journalist too, so she was just being a clever dic really, nothing to do with Journalistic morality with her, and more likely she's upset at him for daring to doubt the unity in the Chelsea camp so thought she'd try and show him up, but tbf, as someone already stated, they both come out of it badly imo.

And future guests might think twice about talking to her, which won't really help Chav tv.

Not that i'm one to defend journalists, quite the opposite really, but the whole thing just seemed a bit of a farce to me, coming as it did from a Chav tv presenter, i mean...hey...they are always honest and above board with their stories and rumours.

                              I suppose that is true.

But the fact of the matter is a journalist can make up any old ****e, because they do not have to name a source. 'A source close to the team' etc etc all it is is an excuse to invent a story to create a headline to sell a paper, and they do it every day off the week.

Aye of course, but that's the nature of the beast. Catch-22 really. Obviously they can make up ****e and 'protect' their 'source' when there may perhaps not be one.

Likewise though, if they have a genuine source, obviously they cant be revealing it.
