While i absolutely and utterly agree on the general cuntishness of Fergie and cannot abide the man, you cannot help but strangely admire that his entire focus, however cuntish, is in this instance on the good of Man Utd. He has a Champions League final Saturday and obviously could do without the hype re Giggs, so he sends a message that any line of questioning on the subject will not be given airtime. Very clever I think. Still an utter, utter hypocrite and his attitude towards the media generally and to the BBC is a disgrace, but just this once I think he is right

I would think that lots of managers say this kind of stuff, but they're not usually overheard, and when they are, Sky don't bother bringing it to our attention. I'm still surprised that they decided to now. Maybe just to liven up the buildup.

Well yeah but whether we like them or not he's just doing his job. And the question was delicately and deliberately phrased, albeit thinly-veiled. It's pertinent because it's a big story, with major personal ramifications for one of his best players on the eve of a European Cup final. He doesn't have to answer it but it's his ridiculous reaction that people are laughing at. The whole banning thing has been going on for years and it's laughable.
