Despite what commentators say, that has to be the biggest load of balls. No way in an immediate split decision do referees think “that looks a bit like a penalty, but because of that wee triple McCormick I’m not gonna give it”. How many times have players been fouled but decided to stay on their feet, when all they had to do was take a tumble to get the decision? I refuse to accept that after a genuine foul, a bit of theatrics effects the referees decision.
