Of current players I would have to say the Barca midfield that is just unreal in controlling a game and especially Xavi and Iniesta. Elsewhere I would say the partnership of Schweinsteiger, Ribery and Robben is very good, and normally enjoyable to watch although they had a miserable season. Stankovic is one of my favorite midfielder from the last 10 years that is still active as well as Alonso, Essien (when back in form) and there are probably more that I can't think of right now

Of attackers Messi of course in a league of his own, otherwise not many strikers I currently like but Etoo is a mention worth, Del Piero, Forlan and currently very impressed with Llorente from Bilbao.

A couple of defenders still active I would mention is Hyypia (one of my favorite defenders of all time), Pique is fantastic and a one to look out for mention is Subotic.

Gk's... besides Casillas I can't really think of any currently.

Yeah love watching Pique play, best CB in the world IMO.

Also a big fan of Puyol - he is ridiculously and comically underrated/criticised.

I really need to name some non-Barca players

Isn't Giggs supposed to have a super-injunction out banning us from learning about his off-field sexploits?

Personally I don't mind what he gets up to but it does add fuel to the argument about his public image not being entirely accurate.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I don't think I have any favourite players any more, LFC or not. Obviously I've still got my favourites from the past but there's no point dwelling on all that.

              And Hugh Bonneville supposedly.

And Jeremy Clarkson, although it seems to me that's less well-known.

You can name your favourite cyclists instead.

                          Currently playing:

                          Messi
                          Xavi
                          Iniesta
                          Xabi Alonso
                          Sneijder
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
