If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

i'm goinh to give benefit of the doubt - follow the ball, it's running out of play, and he is at full pace, gets a touch onto to and looks like he tries to follow it - at that pace, your commited and in his head he'd have been thinking get there first, keep it in play and chase it, he probably wouldn't have known the ball just crossed the line, and he's just ran into her...

She is not injured...and one could argue that, had he made an issue out of it...apologising and checking she was ok, then people would be saying..."look..women shouldn't be in football because if anything happens we all have to stop to check their ok" - he also, probably didn't realise 'how bad it was' - ie, the last thing in his mind was running into an official, so when it happens he's just turned and gone back into his position...he probably didn't realise at the time that it was a female official
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I don't know, I would like to think that nobodies a big enough prick to do that deliberately
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

The video has literally been taken down by the football league in the past 5 minutes
I thought it was deliberate to be honest, the change of direction is too sharp to be just him trying to stop.
The times they are a changin'.

McNaughton's not that sort of player. Benefit of the doubt, looks like he had his head down.

As it's been taken down - here's another (not as good) version on youtube:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0th6CZAXjq8"]YouTube - Lineswoman gets knocked over, must watch ![/ame]

The only other version I can find from a google search is from a site I'd never use - all the others have been taken down.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
