yeah cos from what i've seen of him for Valencia he's usually played on the left or off the striker.

Good that he can play on the right too. More options the better.

Not sure he's your typical winger though. Very rarely get them these days in fairness.

      Nice one LDH

Suarez and him would be difficult to stop. Both with tons of trickery and both can play pretty much anywhere up front..

He's not your typical winger but as Balague said he can play extremely well between the lines and that is what makes him so attractive to us.

One ot things that he is not that good at is crossing though. Mostly low and to the near post but perhaps his game will change somewhat in PL.

Would Suarez not be the player to play between the lines though?

We do need proper wingers i feel.

Cheers for posting the clips Mostar. It's good to see some relevant recent performances. I also like these clips where they show every touch in a game, good and bad, rather than those garbage compilations of everything good from his entire career combined.

He's class isn't he? Barely ever picks the wrong pass, hardly ever gives the ball away. Bags of acceleration, loads of tricks, and crucially for me, he can play a great through-ball. Has goals in his game too.

One thing I did notice was he's hardly the old fashioned winger some have made him out to be. He showed up all over the pitch countless times. In a way that's a positive for us though, given how fluid Kenny's formations tend to be.

Him and Suarez would hit it off like a house on fire

Sure but imagine if we have 2 that can do that and interchange their positions at any time. Nightmare for defenders. Truly.

Also Mata is so versatile that he can play anywhere and Comolli would not be interested unless he thinks he would be a very good fit.

Imo we cannot go wrong if we sign him.

Impressed with those compilations. Especially the one against Read Madrid. He looks like a very neat and tidy player. Excellent control. Good passing. Two footed. Very unselfish. Based on those vids he reminded me of Iniesta a little bit. I love the way he's constantly moving, looking to give his team mates an option. And he rarely seems to squander possession.

Would he improve our first team? No doubt about it. 23, with plenty of time to improve as well.

Hazard would be my dream signing for this summer. But I'd be really pleased if we got this guy. 18 - 22 million euros? What's that, like £18 million max? That's the going rate for a good attacking player these days.

I doubt that we will play with wingers next season. I will be very surprised if we don't play 4-3-3 in most games. 4-2-3-1 could be another option but there is no way that we will continue play 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 IMO if you look at the players we are linked with. We already have several central midfielders but are linked to even more in that position. I doubt that we would have given Spearing a new deal if we had planned to play with two in the middle.

Lucas, Gerrard, Spearing, Meireles and Shelvey. That is five already. Maybe even six if you count in Aquilani.

He still has so much potential and imo is ready for much bigger club and I think he'd be sensational in PL.

If we can get him for 18m euros that imo that would be a steal.

                              Good stuff.

We probably pay too much attention to formations and systems tbh.

At the end of the day, if there's quality players on the pitch they should be capable of adapting to whatever formation/system.

Just think we could still do with at least one genuine winger.
                              - Like if we signed Mata and Downing, that would be pretty good business.
