To be fair under Kenny (when Carroll hasn't been in the team it must be said) we have played possession pass and move football, and very well too. If we could play every week the type of football we played against Fulham at the end of last season we could be a force to be reckoned with.

£6m difference. I'd happily see us pay an extra £6m to get Mata over Downing. If that £6m is considered such a big deal for us, we shouldnt have signed Henderson for the best part of £20m.

No brainer, Downing at £16m compared to Mata at around £21-22m. Kenny would be crazy not to tell Commolli and the owners to go that extra mile.

Dont get your hopes up too much lads. Chances are if he has a stormer in this tournament there will be plenty of offers for him.

It will be difficult to attract top players from abroad with no europesn football. That said, I'm sure we are interested and so there's always a chance.

Would be absolutely thrilled if we'd sign him.

Awesome potential and has tons of creativity which we are in short supply.

If his price range is anywhere betwen 18-25m euros we should buy him no questions asked.

Sure his wages, as Lecter said once, would need to be in range of 80k per week, to compensate for his current salary structure with Valencia, but to me he would worth every penny and quite possible could turn out to be Luis type of signing.
