Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Valencia have just sold Joaquin for €25m...maybe they won't need to sell Mata now?

Valencia winger Juan Mata 'interested to hear from Liverpool' despite offer from Manchester City
The Spain U21 star is expected to leave the Mestalla this summer and would consider a move to Anfield - but the Reds face competition from their big-spending rivals

Juan Mata is interested in moving to Liverpool and his representatives are holding out for an approach from the Reds - despite offers from other Premier League clubs including Manchester City, Goal.com can reveal.

The 23-year-old winger, currently starring for Spain at the European Under-21 championships in Denmark, is expected to leave cash-strapped Valencia this summer, with England his likely destination.

According to a source close to Mata, an approach from Liverpool's director of football Damien Comolli would be welcomed after the tournament has reached its conclusion.

“If Liverpool are interested, then the player would also be interested to hear from them," said the source.

"While they are not playing in Europe next season, that would not be a hindrance, because Liverpool is a club with a big tradition.

“Yes, it’s true that there have been rumours linking Mata to Liverpool but I can say that so far there has been no formal contact or offer from the club.”

The source added: “Mata has offers on the table from Premier league teams that are in the Champions League next season.

"For now, he just wants to focus on the national team in Denmark at the moment but as soon as that is over he will consider his future.

"Mata is due back in Spain next week. There is a lot of speculation linking him to a move to the Premier League so he will sit down and make a decision about his future then.”

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Mata since making their interest in the player known at the end of 2010.

But with the club languishing in the bottom half of the table and toiling under Roy Hodgson, Mata declined to entertain the prospect of a January move
Well done on this link, Liverpoolfc.tv seem to like the link as well. They've posted a link on the clubs main page. No harm in dreaming of landing some world class talent is there. In my opinion Mata qualifies in this bracket!
'Mr Shankly, why is it that your teams' unbeaten run has suddenly ended?' Shanks replied: 'Why don't you go and jump in the lake?'

I'm suprised at that as he was a tremendous player a few years ago.

Joaquin is a classic example of how things don't always turn out for a player destined for greatness. For those among us who are unimpressed so far with what Dalglish is trying to build Joaquin proves that with the likes of Aguero, Hazard, Lukaku, Mata and the rest there are no guarantees with any player, whoever he may be. We've got to collectively trust KK.
