Turks are crazy about football and it's not unusual to see well known players (e.g. Carlos, Guti, Frank de Boer, Hagi) playing there a year or two before they retire cause Turks don't mind paying premium for "celebrity" players past their best.Originally posted by Muddled View PostYeah, it's a valid point. Just seems strange how many head over there.
Elmander, although not in the same category as the ones I mentioned, is only 29 and imo he could still play pretty effectively in Bolton if he wanted to stay but I guess Gala was willing to pay more than Wanderers.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Why would playing for Bolton be better than playing for Galatasary?Originally posted by Mostar View PostTurks are crazy about football and it's not unusual to see well known players (e.g. Carlos, Guti, Frank de Boer, Hagi) playing there a year or two before they retire cause Turks don't mind paying premium for "celebrity" players past their best.

Doesn't mean anything - Qatari have bought a majority stake in a Spanish club recently too...Originally posted by johnly View PostWell the Quatari's buying into PSG may shut up some scum fans who were adamant that they were buying Utd off the Glazers. #failJames Philip Milner Fanclub #1
