If Y is a vowel then we can add Konchesky to that list.... against us!"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

WTF??The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nah, f*ck that. Remember how many people came forward after Jimmy Savile was accused of sex offences.Originally posted by Captain Stu View PostErm... kindly point out the part where I said that?
And, for the record, I don't think people's identities should be disclosed until people are formally charged and sentenced with ANY serious crimes like that for the exact same reasons.
Nail. On. The. Head.
All it takes is a drunken mistake and a rape complaint and someone's reputation and entire life are in complete tatters. It's the accusation that never goes away - you are ALWAYS tarnished with having been accused of that.
Sometimes it happens. But maybe men should be a bit more worried about the low conviction rates in rape cases.
Oh wait, that's because women nearly always make up allegations.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

As for removing public scrutiny from all serious criminal cases, I'd worry about it if I thought your proposal was likely to be taken seriously..
