It goes to show how slick the London Olympics was. Sure, we had the infrastucture in place, but how many people were just waiting for something major to go wrong? These projects are incredibly complex and massive, so to deliver them on time with little fuss is pretty exceptional.

I don't think you can blame FIFA for this. It's up to the host nation to deliver on their promises.
    Oh I don't know.

But its up to FIFA to choose a country that can deliver it, rather than who will pay them the most

FIFA has quite clear goals in taking the world cup to all parts of the world, to let all confederations have a chance to host it. Hence world cups in USA, South Africa, Japan etc. South / Central America have not hosted since 1986. That is far too long in many eyes. And Brazil is the economic power house of that region. They should be able to deliver the competition. But they're not.
        Oh I don't know.

In fairness it'll look unfinished even when it is finished - 20,000 seats will be temporary

Agreed though, it is ridiculous how far behind they are
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

'El Mundo' say they have documents dated from November 2011 to September 2013 showing Neymar's fee was €95M, thus the most expensive ever.

'El Mundo' say that Barça paid €95M for Neymar's transfer, hiding the €38M to show it was just €57M. More than Cristiano €94M & Bale €91M.

Don't believe what El Mundo says. They print all lies. But still Neymar's transfer fee was around €65M, including first-option on 3 players.

Wasn't the transfer fee €57m, with €38m essentially agents fees?

              It's a rhetorical question, because I don't really care.

Guardian say Chelsea are in talks to buy Kurt Zouma for £11m and they will loan him back until the end of the season.

That would not be that great for them as they'd still be utter **** in defence and midfield.
