Caulker and Sigurdsson is a decent bit of business for Palace. Not quite sure how Spurs keep getting decent fees for clearly out of choice players. Pretty much got their money back on Sigurdsson where as our out of favour players only leave on loan if we pay nearly all the wages!

They've performed well in the PL so English clubs know what they might be getting. I guess Adam was similar , we got decent money for him despite him being unwanted.

Did anyone actually watch Di Maria this season, apart from the world cup matches?

He was probably Real's best player behind Ronaldo and Modric. In the midfield role this season he was fantastic and not wasteful at all.

I agree he was pretty poor at the WC but there's no doubt for me that he's a great player.
