    In fact it's already started

I think it's great. The less Twitter and Facebook muppets we get following us, then all the better.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

What's happened between Ollie Holt and Alan Davies?

Sounds like Holt is going to tear into him in his column tomorrow.

Tearup Tuesday is alive and well

Davies can't play Games for a laugh

So-called comedian Alan Davies has obviously grown bored of biting the homeless and mocking Liverpool FC for having the temerity not to want to play a match on the anniversary of the Hillsborough Tragedy.

Wit's end: No need to hurry for tickets to an Alan Davies gig
He’s still upset because I once suggested he shouldn’t be scrounging a press box ticket at White Hart Lane so he could cheer on Arsenal.

So he had a pop at me this week because, over the past few years, I dared to raise concerns about overspending and transport in the build-up to London 2012.

Davies, it seems, never harboured any qualms about the cost of the Olympics rising from £2.3billion to £9bn.

In his smug, self-congratulatory world, that kind of discrepancy and the effect it might have on education or the NHS is an irrelevance.

I don’t regret for one second pointing out the overspend or querying some of the planning in the build-up to the Games.

But I’m glad I underestimated our ability to host a successful Olympics.

It was the best event I’ve ever covered.

Part of its success could be measured by the fact it was sold out.

                              Unlike Davies’ current tour.

Still seats available, apparently. Plenty of them.

                              Can’t think why.
Oh I say his vision there was lovely
