Surely thats the what happens when you play offside anyway, if like that Arsenal team you can play it well you'll catch out the strikers the majority of the time, if not sorry it's a goal.

My point is that the keeper has played to the whistle but by going to the video ref to get the decision overturned he has not had the chance to make a save or the defenders had a chance to get back and cover.

How many times do we see that though? in a close offside striker still takes a shot, on the whole the GK will still try to save it.

I appreciate there's grey areas, but players/tactics will adapt.
Remember when they changed the offside rule, to interfering, non interfering, phases of player etc - Ruud van Horseface seemed to be the primary beneficiary adjusting his game to the new rules and grabbing loads of goals.

They will need to cover every eventuality and I can't see it happening.

I can't see FIFA incorporating any further tech beyond goal line and going back to my earlier point contentious decisions where this technology will come in to play will be few and far between.

Suarez reminds me a of a Sehwag though. Even if he was 5 yards offside he'd still appeal that he wasn't and the fans would be proper pissed at the wasting of an appeal
