They think it's a cert up here. Amazing. He's decent I think but from Tevez/Balotelli to Negredo is a downgrade. No doubt they'll get another but I expected better from them.

That pair were a bit of a let down towards the end of their time at City but they are genuine class. I would have thought Negredo made more sense as a Dzeko replacement.

Last season they clearly failed to replace Johnson as an option and Ballotelli in any way at all. Navas looks a huge upgrade on Johnson but they don't seem to have sorted out the forwards situation at all.

Isn't Pellegrini the one who made Kanoute look like a world class forward though? Perhaps he/the city staff know something we don't.

Coventry got themselves into a mess.

Coventry City have agreed a deal to groundshare at Northampton's Sixfields Stadium for the next three seasons, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire reports.

The Sky Blues will no longer play at the Ricoh Arena, despite an offer from the stadium's owners to allow them to do so rent-free next season.

The move still needs approval from the Football League.
