It would be a MASSIVE statement of intent if we signed this lad. He is potentially a global superstar of the Messi and Ronaldo level - it will happen, just hope its with us.

Really hope theres interest from our side. I wonder if Dalglish will be looking at him as a possibility. Don't see why not, he is world class and that would be the biggest statement of intent from FSG to date.

No chance he's signing as we don't need a first team striker. I think we need another striker for competition, but not one that will cost us £40m or so.

A 433 with Carroll, Suarez and Augero sounds amazing, but Augero is not a wide forward and I doubt it would work so well out on the pitch.

That said, when players of his ability and potential become available, you do have to consider him.
