Interesting you said that cause I was wondering the same myself. He's quality player but I'm not so sure that he'll fit well in Mancini style of play.

Big shoes to fill too as Tevez was their "go to guy" so who knows.

He’ll be hard pushed to better Tevez contribution anyway, and to even get close would be a success.

Hopefully he’ll be a disaster, make noises to join us on the cheap, then Suarez can get the best out of him and give us the most lethal forward line in the Premiership.

It will be someone else (not that I think we will see too many of them next year) and it will be easier to attract some with CL football.

It seems obvious that our long term approach will be to try to groom our own talent through the academy and imo we will see more and more money being pored into young talent U18 handpicked by our scouts from everywhere in the world and we will only buy good quality players for the positions that we may not be able to properly fill in from within.

My point is that it may be painful now but hopefully in few years we will produce our own Hazards, Kuns etc and the future should be very bright.

don't forget, the muckity mucks at barcelona have publicly said that our academy is the next best one to their own. we may see some true quality coming out

a.) if they are right
b.) because that will make recruiting the best youth easier for us
