Ngog has a very similiar production rate as say Bendtner, both inconcsistent and frustrating but flashes of potential,similiar age too. I can't imagine Arsenal letting Bendtner go for 3 or 4 million.

Actually, I'm not. What I am saying is that we shouldn't be wasting our money on players who, up until this season, hadn't demonstrated that they had the ability to contribute regularly for ANY premier league side, let alone one who should be challenging for the top honours. It's not that I think we should spend big but more that Shane Long (IMO) is nowhere near the level we need. If we want a striker who's not good enough to play for us we may as well keep Ngog.

Didn't Wolfsburg offer £6m in January for Jovanovic? Whilst West Brom offered £5m for Ngog last summer.

Not saying we'll be offered the same fees, but it puts things into perspective.
