This signing is so good for the PL on a whole, lots of clubs spending big money to get some of the up and coming stars of the world, such as Mata, Aguero and Suarez who are all coming to their peak.
I don't mind seeing other teams picking up good players because it makes the league more exciting again, obviously it will be harder for us to do well, but sometimes from a purely footballing fan view a greater level of good players is always a good thing.96 Never Forgotten

Madness isn't it.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostSo that will leave Citeh with a pool of forwards to choose from including:
Aguero £34m
Dzeko £27m
Ballotelli £24m
Tevez £30m (?)
Santa Cruz £18m
Bellamy £14m
Adebayor £25m
£172m
Remind me how this financial fair play thing is going to work again..?
They've just "given away" their £19m forward Jo as well.

I am just saying there is a positive to all of the big boys (including us) signing good players. The swing was moving back to the Primera lately with a lot of players wanting to go there, but if players keep coming to the EPL it can only be good for the league possibly making it the most saught after by players in the world.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWTF are you on about Ade?
In actual fact, in a round about way it could benefit us with suarez wanting to stay here rather then going to the "dreamland" of Spain and the primera.96 Never Forgotten

Just on that note, I might add that before I loved Liverpool I simply loved football. I only opted to start following Liverpool after Torres became a star here. Infact, as I have hinted at before I was a big fan of ronaldo because he was exciting and did the unexpected as well as being inredibly passionate about winning, similarily to suarez now.96 Never Forgotten

The Carroll deal was about walking away with £15M profit from selling Torres and bringing him in.Originally posted by PC Plod View PostAgree about the wages, just still struggling to get my head around the £35m we paid for Carroll. Even the £20m for Downing makes more sense.
It was simply a business transaction. We could have sold Torres for £30M and got Carroll for £15M, the outcome would still be the same, £15M profit from the deal.

If this is true then I'm glad we didn't get him - I mean that is just farcical!Originally posted by Mostar View Post@LFCtransfernews
Aguero likely to earn on and around 240,000£/week.That is equal to wages of Suarez+carroll+adam+henderson together.not a miss for #LFC
I think Suarez is just as good as him & we didn't have to pay the earth for him then why should we for Aguero - a whore of the highest order, like most @ City to be honest...Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!
