    City fans: The Poznan

I think it's quite good but only if your the ones that originated it. The really really sad thing about that is the fans chanting were probably doing the Poznan the next game.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was amusing at first but I was amazed at how many people hadn't seen it done before. It's been around right across eastern Europe for decades, hasn't it. When City fans do it already looks a little tired and contrived to me.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

              I don't get it personally.

On a seperate note, what's the link with the blow up banana's? I noticed quite Citeh fans had them on Saturday.

What's the Poznan? Jumping up and down or being cocks?

It's when they all turn their backs to the pitch, link arms and repeatedly jump.

it's something to do with a former player i think...from the 70's maybe? his nickname was banana or bananaman or something like that and they all used to take inflatable banana's to the game - it might even have been something they did the last time they won the cup?? and so they did it again
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I think it's funny tbh, and now the Celtic fans are copying it - same set of supporters that give **** to Liverpool fans for signing the Suarez song(Just can't get enough).

                      Swings and roundabouts.

i never get all this we stole it of you ****e - every club and every supporter somewhere down the line has something or does something that claims to be 'the original'

I think it's really how well it is done that defines the actual song/chant/action.

For example - I think i mentioned it at the time....re Suarez, yes the celtic fans 'started' that song/chant, but i knew once LFC picked it up and ran with it, because of what we do and who we are, it wouldn't be long before it spread to other clubs.

Another example is ring of fire - we certainly did that before any other club - and now it's done every where

we 'borrowed' the torres song from somewhere, took it to the next level, then every other club started doing it.

And with the city thing, i like it - it's different to what anyone else does in the league and it gets them going so fair play....now, i know we won't because we have a bit more class than to blantantly copy something - but i reckon next season we'll see a fair few other sets of fans doing the same

Had a Baggies fan telling me that we had stolen the Suarez song, as they sing it for Odemwingle
