Wow that's some serious **** there.Originally posted by Rich View PostHonigstein putting the boot into Grant on Twitter...
Remember the CL final when he just stood back and let Terry do the team talk?
All this is unbelievable, if he's so utterly shambolic, such a 'non-manager', how the hell does he keep getting work?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

that legendary funny man James Corden was on talksport last night.
he said that he did a teamtalk with the chalkboard and only put 10 players up on the board. when it was pointed out, he made it out he was testing the players.
Seems a bit of a clown to me._____________________________________

the true horror of Grant's reign will probably not be revealed - the players have found him a nice man and are reluctant to put the boot in
honigstein raphael honigstein
main blame must lay with owners. hiring and not firing such a non-manager was criminal
honigstein raphael honigstein
@GunnerGalatico he didn't. Chelsea players just didn't take him seriously because he left all the work to Clarke & Terry

you want the truth, you think you can handle the truth?
honigstein raphael honigstein
WH midfielder before Chelsea game: "Are we supposed to press on Essien and Lampard or sit?"
honigstein raphael honigstein
Grant: "You have to work that out yourselves on the pitch"
honigstein raphael honigstein
that's ONE example.
honigstein raphael honigstein
you want more?

virtually no dead-ball training. fitness exercises lacking in intensity.

No - NO - post-match debriefing apart from a DVD with key scenes given to each player - without commentary!
honigstein raphael honigstein
needless to say, most didn't bother watching them
iainwr Iain Richmond
@honigstein not watching the DVDs sounds like bad professionals more than a bad manager
honigstein raphael honigstein
@iainwr they didn't watch because there were no explanations/instructions to improve. just good and bad scenesThanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Heard that too.

Can't see (m)any clubs wanting Grant now. Hasn't he spent something like 60 out of 63 weeks in the bottom three? Terrible.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I kind of feel that Grant is the sort of manager who is good at spotting talent and engendering or at least maintaining the sense of a collective. He may well not have a lot to say about tactics or whatever but neither to people like O'Neill by all accounts. I suspect his problem at West Ham was in having a set of players who needed more coaching and tactical input than at Chelsea and also not having any coaches of the quality he needs to do the hands on work for him. Possibly just a natural 'director of football'."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
