I kind of feel that Grant is the sort of manager who is good at spotting talent and engendering or at least maintaining the sense of a collective. He may well not have a lot to say about tactics or whatever but neither to people like O'Neill by all accounts. I suspect his problem at West Ham was in having a set of players who needed more coaching and tactical input than at Chelsea and also not having any coaches of the quality he needs to do the hands on work for him. Possibly just a natural 'director of football'.
