    The Bitters

    http://www.nsno.co.uk/everton-news/2...either-of-you/

There has been an endless amount of taunting between Liverpool and Manchester United fans over recent weeks about the amount of league trophies each side has won. But neither can compete with Everton, yet.

Technically, Everton have won the league trophy 9 times, although there is something else to consider. Everton won the league in 1914-15, before play was suspended and not resumed until 1919-20, meaning the Blues were champions for four years.

Everton also won the league in 1939, but again, due to some minor scuffle across the English Channel, play was suspended until 1946-47, handing Everton the trophy to look after for a further six years.

This brings Everton’s reign as champions of English football to 20 years, four years longer than United’s proud boast, and five longer than Liverpool’s, although we’re aware that Liverpool try and claim the trophies they won during the second world war as “titles”, but as these were the Northern League, then they can do one.

So all your banners count for nothing Manchester, come back when it’s 21….

Disclaimer: This article was written entirely to show how pointless your petty little banners are, just in case you didn’t notice.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its funny that they link to an article on the Liverpool site to mock us when they have crap like this on their own site...

First club to go on an overseas football tour
First club to stage a World Cup semi-final in Britain
First club to have its own podcast
First club to sell tickets via text message.

Funny they dont mention they were the first club (presumably) to give away season tickets as free gift with mobile phone contracts because so few can be arsed to pay for it!
                Football without Origi is nothing

Outside Goodison, along the walls, there are all these framed 'placard' type things, each commemorating a big moment of Everton's history, achievements and such like.

One of the ones by the away turnstiles - and i swear to god, this is true, celebrates the following 'achievement':

"1891 - Everton is among the first to use goal nets."

I swear to god that's true.

the guy who runs the anfield museum said it on lfc tv a couple of years ago and showed the actual paper showing the renaming of the club.
