I think really this shows the lack of good genuine English talent out there. He would have been good for us but he's not anything great and if this is the sort of calibre Manu are signing then it won't be long before they're knocked off their perch.
I can see Young being a success at United, only problem will be how will they accommodate Young, Valencia and Nani in the same team?
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I still find it odd that people imply that having a strong squad is a bad idea. They play 4-4-1-1 with two wingers or 4-3-3 and Young can play in several positions in both. He'll get plenty of games, even if Nani leaves. Fergusson has always liked to have many attacking options - he used to always want 4 strikers as tactics have evolved now he wants more attacking midfield/forward options.

Agreed but **** me Downing aint much better. Villa cant beleive their luck.
They've done very well out of selling English players at inflated prices:
Barry £12m (1 year left on contract)
Milner £24m + Ireland
Young £16m (1 year left on contract)
Downing?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Good point. But hopefully for the doubters of our british signings it should hopefully mean, that what ever we spend on these players the re-sale value will be alot higher for them, then for an expenisve foreign flop. We could easily get at least 50-75% of the transfer fee paid for the players we've bought or will buy. If they give us 2-3 seasons of good service, where on to a winner.

Will be interesting to see if Fergie strengthens the soft centre. He lost the Barca battle on both occasions due to it, and now with Scholes and Hargreaves gone they will be light in that area.
I don't believe they needed Young or Jones - yes it adds depth but other areas should be more pressing, lets hope old whiskey breath is going senile.
