    Usain Bolt to the Mancs?

Double world record holder has his eyes set on appearing at Old Trafford when he hangs up his track spikes and insists he has the football skills to match his blistering speed

Usain Bolt believes he is good enough to play for Manchester United when he retires from athletics.

The world record holder for both 100 and 200 metres, Bolt electrified a worldwide audience at the 2008 Beijing Olympics when he burst onto the scene and he is confident he can electrify Old Trafford in the same manner.

“I really want to try soccer after I retire because I’ve watched football over the years and I think I could be a good contender,” Bolt told the BBC.

“I’m really looking forward to it and yes, I definitely think I’m good enough to play for Manchester United.

"I'm good enough because I’m quick, I have a little skill - I have to refine it a little bit but I should be good enough.”

The 9.58 second 100 metre man met the United squad at their training ground back in 2009 and offered sprinting tips to then-Red Devil star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Jamaican star would certainly add a turn-of-foot to Sir Alex Ferguson’s front-line, but for now his focus is on a 200 metre offering at Thursday’s Diamond League meeting in Oslo.

Bolt's impending availability hasn't gone unnoticed amongst the other Premier League managers.

Tottenham's Harry Redknapp is said to have taken a keen interest in acquiring the services of Bolt as a direct replacement for Gareth Bale if, as expected, a record bid is accepted by Executive Chairman Daniel Levy next summer.

Redknapp told the Metro "Usain is literally the fastest man on the planet and he'll be a top, top runner for someone, definitely."

Imagine if Bolt actually did make a successful switch though? Fast as **** and a huge imposing figure. All he'd need to do is learn one trait - Rory Delap made a successful career from his sole trick even with the rest of his play being dogturd, so I don't see why Bolt couldn't do the same.

Hindes or hinds, whatever it is is really good. He had a field day against us the day Torres raped them for us to win 3-2.

edit: Zavon Hines is in fact his name.
