Surely he's been pretty successful in his last two jobs (Cotterill I mean). He's still youngish in managerial terms too.

I've said before that I think that sometimes people don't let managers make mistakes/learn before they write them off. There do always seem to be some old duffers with **** records getting jobs nonetheless but I don't think Cotterill falls into that category.

My friend went on a coaching course at the weekend. Peter Taylor did the teaching.

I asked this morning if he was preaching the gospel according to hoofball, and guess what, he was. It was mostly defensive work they covered, but the one attack minded part of the session was to hoof the ball up the field for it to bobble off the big centre forward, then fight for the scraps.



It's a wonder why England are so **** eh? Taylor is an LMA official now apparently.
