    The money league

This link provides a report, done by Deloitte, which looks into commercial revenues within European football and features specific analysis on a club-by-club basis, for the top 20 in Europe.

    Really interesting read...

I've been reading them for the last 2-3 years and when I generally speak out numbers it is because I've read them so.

Take my word on it Craig.

From the looks of that we are over reliant on TV rights. All the big boys have it fairly well split up. I am assuming the guys at NESV are working hard to increase merchandise sales especially now that the new shirt sponsor and shirt maker deals are finalised.

We earn a lot through merchandise. Arsenal, Chelsea are faaaar behind us in terms of Mktg/merchandise revenue.

Us and Utd are a couple of levels above in the Mktg income but we don't get enough from Matchday Revenues where as Chelsea get around 75m and Arsenal and Utd about 100m. We get something like 42m.

Huge difference that. Hence the urgency to redevelop/rebuild the stadium. I heard Anfield has only about 1,200 corporate seats.

They are planning to get this number upto 9,000 which would be incredible.

Indeed, corporate hospitality is actually far more important than just simply having a big capacity.
