I'm sure Morten Gamsdt Pedersen would agree with you!!!Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostHe's a bit of a lunatic but I'd have him, he's worked hard on controlling his anger this season and doesn't get into as many arguments as he used to but you'd still worry that he'd flip and belt someone.
He's a decent player and has improved since taking on the captaincy for Newcastle. He's a decent crosser of the ball too. He's not fantastic but there's some steel there which is what we're lacking.
Would rather we looked elsewhere though obviously.

He served his time, he has the right to get his career back on track if an employer is willing to take him. Banning from playing football would be wrong. If he has adjusted his attitude and behaviour why should he be punished further?Originally posted by acdmackay View PostI personally think Barton should have been banned from playing football. Anyone as violent and vicious as that CCTV footage shows should not be allowed in a competitive atmosphere. Can't stand the prick.

There's a real theme, er, emerging in your posts.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostBarton is ****. And a ****.
Frankly it opens a window on a world I don't want to see..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

You misread...I said he should have been banned, as in back when all that was happening.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostHe served his time, he has the right to get his career back on track if an employer is willing to take him. I still don't agree, it would be wrong to ban him before was found guilty and the offence is not a footballing one. It'd be wrong not to allow someone to turn their life around and it wouldn't have helped Barton.Originally posted by acdmackay View PostYou misread...I said he should have been banned, as in back when all that was happening.
