Aquilani is in his native Italy to sort out a permanent move to Fiorentina, who have met the asking price and are now working on the midfielder's contract.

The expensive Kop flop, bought for £20m three years ago during the Rafa Benitez era, will have to take a huge pay-cut to go back to Serie A.

Liverpool may even end up giving him a chunk of the £7m fee Fiorentina are set to pay to make that happen. source:mirror

Tell him to sod off & accept whatvthey offer cause no other team wants him & that's all he's worth. Either that or get on the plane back ready for the bench this Thursday night.

My guess is that's already been agreed and we will only end up
          with around £2 Mill..

Probably one of the reasons why Rafa wasn't considered by the owners. The stench of Aqua is still in the air.

Certainly up there, from the initial signing him injured to then sending him out on loan for not one but two full seasons

TBH since the sale of Alonso there have been very few good signings by us really, let's hope this summer we see a change in that

I think it's been a symptom of a club that hasn't had any behind the scenes stability. I really hope that we now have that for a few seasons at least.

So many managers have decided they don't want him at the centre of their midfield. They can't all be wrong. Everything crossed that he finally goes perminently.
