Jesus H Christ. If those reports aren't wrong then someone at LFC is an utter spastic. How can we give 85k a week to a guy that barely got off the doctor's table and hadn't done much when he had. No wonder John Henry complained about the wage bill!

Financially this has to be one of our worst signings ever

Aquilani is going to be fantastic in Dalglishs side. Believe me, he really is.

He's going to be in the top 3 of most fans player of the season list.

Agreed, improves the squad, makes the bench look a lot better and gives us another good option. I'd like to keep both him and Meireles - two good international players who both fit into the squad. Think Aquilani would thrive in Kenny's system too. Better than having the likes of Poulsen on the bench. Our rivals all have a ****load of midfielders to choose from, it's vital we keep a semblance of strength in depth rather than ****ing off a load of players who might not be automatic picks.

i would like tosee aqua come back fit and ready to show what he can do this coming season but even after his quotes, i still cant see him being with us by august. id be extremely surpirsed if he didnt move in the summer.

Definitely, I find the "Oooh we have a few players in that position, lets get rid of a load" attitude weird, we're desperate for a squad. He's already proven he can contribute so lets keep him. Actually think English football suits him best, he seems better in a high tempo, pass and move sort of team rather than sitting infront of a back 4 like at Juve/Roma.

He's not a problem at all, the problems are players like Konchesky, Degen, Poulsen etc etc who are all on a big wage and dont/cant contribute anything.

One of them bounced off of his arse. I'll see if I can find the clip.

By the way I'm pleased he's back.

So what formation we playing next season then?

I think the names in bold will be featuring in first team matches, so the addition of Aquilani wont be a bad thing imo..
Hopefully he can come back fully fit and be like a new signing for us..

                        Henderson
                        Adam
                        Downing

                        Meireles

                        Cole
                        Jovanović
                        Rodríguez

Well as things stand we don't have Adam or Downing, might alter our plans a bit if we keep Aquilani. Of our current lot I can see these players in midfield

                          Henderson
                          Meireles
                          Gerrard
                          Cole
                          Jovanović
will not contribute regardless if we keep him or not
                          Rodríguez
                          Aquilani
                          Leiva
                          Spearing
                          Shelvey
                          will probably be loaned out

Kuyt will probably be used more upfront IMO

Poulsen will not contribute regardless if we keep him or not
                          El Zhar will not contribute
Sterling will not be involved too much
Ince will he even be here?

If we can't sell Aquilani I predict we'll sell Meireles and bring in Downing for the left. Jova and Poulsen might stay another year but I can't see them contributing anything. Assuming Shelvey is loaned out we have about eight players purely for midfield, we just need a left midfielder/winger badly.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I wish these stupid, lazy **** journos would stop saying we paid 20 million for him - the fee was 17 million & it is being paid in instalments. He's cost us about 10 million to date imo...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I wish people would stop caring so deeply about the minutia of deals in a field where none of us have much if any information and even less expertise.
