I've said before we should flog him for whatever we can only because I thought he didn't want to come back but it seems this is not the case and I'm actually really surprised he turned up for first day of training all things considered.
So I take back what I said and would actually welcome him back, as long as he wants to be here, as he can bring another dynamic to our midfield. *

*although his passing is really sloppy sometimes

I hope we keep him and I'd rather keep him over Meireles. He's a class act and he'd link brilliantly with Lucas, Suarez, Gerrard, Henderson, Carroll, Mata (), Maxi...****...it's almost as if we've got players with a style of play in mind

Have the squad numbers been announced? Or have they just released what number the new signings will wear and those of players who have had to swap because of them (such as Spearing) as aside from Jovanovic none of those players had squad numbers last year, so for them nothing has changed.

He survived all last season without any serious injuries so we can only hope for the best.

He could be used as a makeweight but with his wages that's highly doubtful.
