If Villas Boas gets the sack before the end of the season, I dont think Chelsea will be winning the league for a fair few years. The will have been knocked down and rebuilt so many times without it being finished.

The best thing for them imo would be to sack him now and bring in Hiddink while he's available if they want to salvage their season.

He did very good job for them last time around and imo he is exactly what they need atm.

AVB is out of depth and unless something drastic happens quickly I cannot see him staying there much longer.

There is a chance that they may not even make it into top 4 this year and I cannot see Roman waiting to see if things will work out...

They need CL football more than us..

its a 3 year rebuilding job at best, normally theyd be fine but with the rise of city/spurs its a tough ask to balance keeping in the cl and bringing in new players and ideas

Plus they've got to rebuild within the FFP rules which will hopefully mean they just don't go out and buy a team of £20m+ players.

The squad is well below the level it was a few years ago but I don't think AVB is adapting his tactics to get the best out of the players he has. He's also tended to fudge the big decisions about easing Terry and to a lesser extent Lampard out of the team. His pressing game really doesn't suit either of them.

Terry and Luiz is a terrible pairing. Both go to challenge for the first ball and neither covers the other. I think Luiz will come good though, he's got a lot of skill and by all accounts was an excellent defender before his move to CFC.

That's true, but it also shouldn't be the measure of a manager. Sacking him without allowing him to rebuild the squad with his players would mean they'll never know whether his 'footballing vision' is effective or not.
