    Rooney brawling at Glasto

Rooney's 'three fights in two hours' at Glasto

Published 22:31 26/06/11 By Clemmie Moodie

The football season has long since passed but it’s good to see Wayne Rooney hasn’t lost his touch.

The Man Utd star racked up an impressive hat-trick at Glastonbury... getting embroiled in three fights in just over two hours.

Yep, surrounded by friends and family, including wife Coleen, the 25-year-old striker, well, struck a blow or three as drunken music fans heckled him towards the end of Elbow’s set on Saturday night.

Trouble flared at 9.20pm, when the player, who had been downing ciders all afternoon, began prodding a stubby little finger in the chest of a loud-mouthed Glasto-goer who had been mouthing off at his pals.

Drinks were flying, punches were thrown and expletives uttered before security waded in to break up the eight-man brawl, as Wayne was pulled from harm’s way.

A woman went flying to the mudded ground during the fight, allegedly after being punched by a member of the Rooneys' entourage.

Furious, Coleen turned on her Hunter wellies and stormed off.

When Wazza scurried off after her, the couple - who had, hitherto, been giggling and kissing all weekend - began arguing amongst themselves.

Continuing at the gates of the VIP hospitality area, Col, 25, then marched back to the group, leaving Wayne alone and in a huff.

This was their second tiff of the day.

Earlier, the pair had got into a hostile slanging match, and were seen pushing one another with the England star eventually snapping at his long-suffering missus: “Don’t push me.”

And as no Rooney occasion would be complete without an all-encompassing family scrap, Wayne’s brother, Graeme, clashed with his brother in law, Anthony.
It ended with Liverpool FC fan Ant telling Everton supporter, Graeme: “F-ing calm down.”

Elsewhere over the weekend though, the Liverpudlian star and Coleen were on their best behavior.

Staying in a £6,000 Winneebago at the Windinglake hotel, they happily watched bands including Mumford and Sons, U2 and Coldplay, and spent three hours ensconced in a drum 'n bass tent, throwing some dodgy shapes.

Yesterday the mum of one rustled up the group - totalling 12 in all - some bacon, before Tweeting: “It’s hot hot hot! Chilling with the gang and a cider!”

Last night a source close to the Rooneys said: “Fans had been bombarding Wayne all afternoon, demanding photos and autographs and it all got a bit much.

“He didn’t throw any punches though and if anything, Wayne was the one trying to defuse the heated situations.”

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

The whole thing seems like satire. This isn't real, is it?

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

England and Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's younger brother, Graeme, has been blasted for sending racist and homophobic messages on the social networking website Twitter.

According to The Daily Star, Graeme flipped during an argument with another Twitter user.

"Get bk 2 curry mile in manny wer u belong u smelly *******," the 23-year-old wrote.

He continued abusing the user saying: "Shut it u curry butty," and "better than smelling off curry 24 7."

He later launched into sending homophobic messages to other Twitter users.

Graeme branded one "a raving faggot" before turning on TV star Joey Essex.

One tweet to Essex read: "Yer Joey go an take ye hug boots bk 2 wwer u got them from u faggott."

Graeme is followed on Twitter by Wayne and Coleen, as well as United players Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen.
