    Bojan to join Roma

could be complete by Tuesday - sporting director Walter Sabatini
The Serie A club's director insists there are some things to clear with the La Liga side before the Spaniard moves to Italy but claims he is "very optimistic" a deal will be done

Roma director Walter Sabatini has revealed that Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic is on the verge of completing a transfer to the Serie A club, insisting that an agreement has been reached with the player.

Bojan has been linked with a switch to Roma since the arrival of former Barcelona B boss Luis Enrique, and Sabatini remains "very optimistic" that the move will be complete within the next couple of days.

"The agreement with the player is total. There are some things to clear with Barcelona. It could all be done on Monday or Tuesday, I am very optimistic," he told Ona FM.

The Roma director was much more coy, though, when asked about Sporting Gijon's Jose Angel, who has also been linked with a switch to the Stadio Olimpico, saying: "He is a player of Sporting and I cannot talk about a player of another team. It is not correct."

It does seem there is a bit of a resurgence happening in Serie A

On the subject of Bojan - I'm not sure he is a fully formed player yet but it is strange that some seem to have written him off when he is only 20 or so.

I remember him being the next big thing a few years ago. Wow.
